MODEL HISTORY

The Ferrari Roma was launched in 2019. Designed to sit between the F8 Tributo and the Portofino and based on the latter. Styling was done with Ferrari’s illustrious past in mind, with cars like the Ferrari 250 GT Lusso cited as inspirations for the design.

Power comes from a 3.9 Litre twin-turbo V8 that puts out a frankly ridiculous 612 bhp, it doesn’t seem that long ago that 600bhp plus was reserved for hypercars, the Ferrari Enzo for example, had 650bhp. Now the “entry level” models are producing these kind of numbers. The engine is stunning, and so it should be, coming from the F154 family that powered everything from the California T to the SF90 Stradele, as well as the epic 488 Pista. The drive is fed to wheels via Ferrari’s excellent 8-speed, dual clutch, F1 transmission. The version in the Roma was lifted from the SF90 with longer 7th and 8th gears to suit the GT role of this car.

The Roma was incredibly well received with lauded Evo magazine gave it 5 stars, describing it as “a near-perfect take on the classic GT”. In 2023, Ferrari launched the Roma Spider, replacing the Portofino M. Gone is the awkward (in my opinion) folding hardtop of the California and Portofino models, to be replaced with these beautifully made fabric soft top. Fun fact, this is the first front engined soft top Ferrari in over 50 years, the last being the Daytona Spyder (1969-1973).

 CAR OFFERED

The Ferrari Roma Spider for sale at Wrightson Automotive is a 2024 car finished in the stunning colour of Bianco Italia. This 4 layer pearlescent paint finish is from what Ferrari describe as the Extrarange, which is their equivalent of PTS (Paint-to-Sample) and cost a cool £24,000 GBP. The hood is finished in Blu Tailoring Fabric, which looks absolutely sensational and ties in beautifully with the Blue brake callipers (£1,512 GBP) hiding behind the Matt Grigio Corsa wheels. Black Ceramic exhaust pipes (£1,120 GBP) and the obligatory Scuderia shields on the front wings (£1,231 GBP) finish of the very tasteful exterior looks.

Inside we have the iconic Daytona Style Seats (£3,303 GBP) finished in Black with Blue stitching, embroidered Cavallino to the headrests and logos to the carpets. The steering wheel is the optional carbon fibre wheel with LEDs (£3,359 GBP) which is a must have option. The car also features Surround View (£4,031 GBP), Passenger Display and the Premium Hi-Fi system (£4,142 GBP). All in all, the options on this car (listed at the bottom) cost in excess of £50,000 GBP.

Showing a little under 450 miles on the odometer, this is a great opportunity to buy an effectively brand new Ferrari Roma Spider and get it immediately, as opposed to enduring the reportedly 18 month waiting list for these cars at the moment.

With a manufacturer warranty valid until 2028 and the Ferrari 7 year maintenance programme covering all routine servicing costs until 2031, all the past stress of Ferrari or any high performance car ownership, has been taken away. The only concern left now is, when do you want it?
